Kinman Pickups Hi all, Has anyone used or heard Kinman Pickups? I am considering trying some if I can find some here in the States. Your help is appreciated! Daver |

I had the opportunity to play a limited Fender Edition Hank Marvin Strat with Kinman pickups live and was so impressed that I have not been happy with my stock 61 strat since. They are dead quiet!! and the tone is truly vintage |

| anonymous | Yep, I agree completely, I have two AVn-56 in mid and neck position and they sparkle! They sound better than the DiMarzio Virtual Vintage, which sound a little dull. Unlike most other stacked single coils (Seymour Duncan) they are crisp *and* have high output *and moreover* have reduced string pull. |

Doug: I was just wondering if the Kinman pickups came stock with the Fender guitar you mentioned, or whether they were added on later... (It had been predicted here awhile back that Fender would strike up some sort of licensing deal with Kinman since the combination makes so much sense- and it would explain why Kinman really hasn't been pushing distribution in the US as much as you'd think they would.) Steve, From reading the pages on the kinman web site, it appears the only stock fender that ever had the kinman pickups was the 40th anniv. hank marvin sig. strat. so unless they re-release that model, or as you mention, strike a deal with kinman, I don't think you'd get kinmans stock in a strat. |

I just bought a set of pickups from the Fender HM because he bought a set of Kinmans, so it's not in every HM strat. By the way, they sound good too (haven't tried Kinman) full and vintage. Better than my ESP SC's |

Thats weird. In his letter to Kinman it sounded like HM was going to require Fender to include the Kinmans. Is the 40th anniv. HM the only one, or is in the regular sig line up now? |
