Univox "Mosrite" copy
A friend recently got married and decided to get rid of "junk". So, he gave me an old Univox electric that looks something like a Mosrite. The thing is in 99% condition,(very, very light scratches). After a little shim job and neck adjustment, the thing plays pretty well. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of pickups they put in these things. They are cream rectangular humbuckers, and have chrome outer trim on them. One side of each is adjustable slotted screws, while the other side is flush-set polepieces. They definitely have their own vibe---kind of a "spankin' twang" thing, if that makes any sense.
BTW, this thing has SIX screws holding the neck on. Two are under the plate in the middle, and then the four that screw through the plate. I thought that was odd.
Anyway, if anyone has any info on these things, I sure would be grateful----just to satisfy my curiosity.
Thanks, Brad

After searching some more, it looks like it's an early '70's "High Flier". Still can't find info on P.U.'s.
Anybody?

Thanks, Brad

As you might know, Kurt Cobain used a lot of Univox guitars. More info can be found at:
