Fender Strat Pickups?

Fender Strat Pickups? I have pickups that supposedly came off a Fender Strat. The problem is that the bottoms of the pickups have a narrow, thin rectangular strip of metal attached the length of the pickup covering the ends of the magnets. They are black bottoms with vinyl coated black and white wire leads and seem old. but I've never seen Fender pickups that you couldn't see the 6 magnet ends on the bottom. Are these something different from Fender or not Fender at all? |
