Shielding
Ok I'm doing a shielding job on my Strat. I'm using foil tape folding it on the long edges. So far I have no trouble with continuity. But I'm not sure where to locate the ground wires, e.g. the wire under the bridge and the ground on the output jack. My strat is a hard tail. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

The string ground wire can be soldered to the shielding foil in the control housing at any covenient point. I solder mine near the short vertical wall between the bridge pickup rout and the floor of the control compartment.

The "ground" wire going to the output jack is actually a signal return and not part of the hum shield. I connect mine to the lower lug of the volume control, where I join all the black pickup leads. A wire from the shielding foil can be connected there too, unless you are implementing the complete Atchley method.

(Solder all the seams of your copper tape after it's installed.)

Sometimes, after a good shielding job, you can leave the string ground disconnected. The strings will be insulated from ground and the amplifier (easy to accomplish on a strat, difficult on a tele), reducing the chance for shock hazard. I don't bother with this, because I never play with my teeth.
