Peavey Output Transformer
Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement for a Peavey output transformer part #70500043? The amp is a Rock Master Vintage Tube Series. The tubes are 6L6GCs and 12AX7s. It is rated at 120 W into 4 or 2 ohms. Peavey wants about three times what I paid for the amp so if anyone can suggest a lower priced alternative, I would appreciate it.

Go to www.angela.com There are a few transformers that would work, the first that jumps out at me, would be a tone-master replacement, which is designed for (4)6l6's and is about $70, not too bad, dont know how they sound tho, but i THINK the RockMaster is a preampgain beast? YOu could also check into one of Hoffman's transformers, but if price is the concern, then I don't think you will beat this price.

I don't know if it would work for your amp. But if it will i have it. Richie{~}==:::

if it was designed for 6-6l6's the impedance would be off a bit, since the rockmaster uses 4-6l6's...

Try the New Sensor #NSC022899. For $48.50 you CANNOT beat the price. It only has a 4 ohm output though. BTW; New Sensor tells me that when the current stock of these transformers is gone THEY'RE GONE!!!

I'm not a big Peavy fan so my experience is limited.
Does this have reverb and if so, is the reverb pan mounted on the chassis in front of the OT?
