When to change Power Tubes?

When to change Power Tubes? This is just a thought, I am just getting back into tube amps I have a Marshall TSL-122. Do you usually wait till you hear some changes in your tone then change the tubes or regardless of tone change just change them once a year? If I change them once a year does that take away some of the stress on the other components such as the Output trans. Whats your advice or maintenance schedule for tube changes |

Change them when the tone starts going south. And read the Tube Amp FAQ at GEO. |
