Torres Dual Marshall pt II

After spending many hours playing this amp I think I know what is the fuzz factor. From what I can tell it is the way the 12AX7's in the preamp are distorting. The tone is still to bassy for me. I like bass tones I just don't want to be stuck with it. Perhaps too much bass going into the preamp It was Rebel who suggested these could be it and I think he is right. The amp sounds real good except for the fuzz deal. Next I will try the Hoffman and M&G kits build them and then build up to the high gain very carefully.

5 Years ago I tried one of the torres mods kit for a mid 80s fender concert amp. I paid $50.00 and the kit was not worth the money at all. The best way to mod or build is just posting here and most of the ampagers will give you real good info/ possible schematics to help you learn how to do amp mods and builds. This place is much more informative than anything Torres will give ya. Thats no BS!!!
So save your cash and if you need a schem or just general amp info its here for the asking. What can I say, this place is home away from home for amp techs/ GAS techs (just kidding) and lots of cool amp and guitar info. Good luck.

P.S. Get the Torres mod outa that amp for the amps sake if nothin else
