Re: Removing a tube to allow for more out of an amp
So, if I have a 4-power-tube, 100-watt Marshall, and I want to run it at 50 watts, I should  
 
(1) yank either the 2 inner or 2 outer tubes  
(2) change the impedance selector to half the  
actual load (or is it double?)  
 
But do I really have to rebias the thing?

Pull out the tubes  
 
double the impedance selector switch  
(you are taking two tubes out of parallel positions, making the load needed on the primary windings double what was there before)

Ummm. Well, I would. you probably don't have to, but you should at least check it.
