Fender Tremelo Mod Has anyon here ever modded the Neon/Photo-resistor type tremelo to the Tremolux style Bias Vary Tremelo???? It looks extremely simple and I would Loose all ticking and gain some gain right? |

No one is responding because no one encourages mods on old Fenders. |

i was wondering if anyone had actually done the mod or has an amp with this type of tremelo to see how it sounds.... |

I'm sure someone has an amp with this type of tremelo! |

Go here and ask the same question and see if Mark Norwine is around. http://www.webervst.com/wwwboard/amps/ampboard.html? Bruce |

Yeah, I have done it. It may give a little more gain. The ticking probably will still be there, but the effect is a bit richer. It is easy to do and is reversable. Use the 6G16 vibroverb schematic as a guide. Or, you can do it like a Princeton does and use the leftover tride to simulate the extra stage a reverb model Fender has. Just copy the circuit with the 3.3M resistor and 10pF cap. (This is the Mark Norwine version of the mod). Supposedly gives more gain. |

I've done it, and it works great. Do it. |
