| Tom | prosonic schematic hmmmm...I know that I downloaded a gif of the Fender Prosonic schematic a while ago, now that file is still in my hardrive, but contains no data... ok, shit happens, I must have made some mistake...so I went back to the site from which I originally got the schem., and there is the link again, except - nothing comes up there either. Does anybody have a copy of this schematic? Or did Fender get big brother to knock out all trading of this classified information? Any leads appreciated. Thanks, Tom |

Hi Tom: Where did you download the GIF from? Or more precisely, did you just click on it or actually download & save it. Does it appear in Windows Explorer or Find Files with little or no KB file size or does it appear to be a file with substantial KB (or MB) of data? I have had some problems and recently found a potential answer, don't know where this was but here is a quote: *If some of your images are not showing up in Netscape, they may not be real GIF images. Instead, it's possible that they're AOL's proprietary .ART format with a .GIF extensions.* I am on AOL and it will not directly download & display the large file sizes sometimes seen with schematics. I right-click and use SAVE TARGET AS then try to open it later. Many times the file I want to download has a GIF extension on the remote server, but it appears in my SAVE window as ART. Maybe AOL is automatically detecting a hidden property of the file. If I change the extension to GIF it sometimes works. I get mixed results trying to open the saved files in Internet Explorer directly compared to AOL. As you requested, you might be best to get someone to email you a copy that is known to open with your browser, post what browser you are using and maybe someone can help you or point you to a copy that will work for you. Of course, your drive could be corrupt, it might be time to format Hope this helps, Mike |

| Tom | hey Mike- I downloaded the original gif from the blue guitar list. Since it was a few months ago, I don't exactly remember what I did, but for this type of thing I normally download and save, often renaming the file in the process. It currently appears on my hard drive as a gif of 222KB - when I open it there's just the little box with a red "x" in the upper left corner, on an empty page that is big enough to include the large image of the schematic. I do recall printing out a copy of it a few days later, I don't think it had to connect online to do this. FWIW, I'm not on AOL, but I appreciate the info. the only browser I'm using is Internet Explorer. Thanks, Tom |

woah , I uploaded that schem after reading this post . I'm just starting making a homepage . ( other files were working ) try : http://www.fender.ch/Tech_Supp/Schema/amplifiers/F_Schema.htm and look for Prosonic . It has to be on Steve Ahola's page .... Good luck ! Ps If you can't get that schematic , give me an email , and after a couple of emails/1 week I'll send it . Chris |
