building small (5 watt or less) tube amp
i have no electronic experience, but have the desire to build my own tube amp (5 watts or less)for my guitar. web sites, articles on how to get started, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

thanks everyone for the responses. however, since i have ABSOLUTELY no electrical experience (nothing more than installing new pick ups in my guitar) i'm not so sure that this is a good project for me. after reading that capacitors still carry charges after the amp is off, i'll think twice next time i take the chassis out of my classic 20.

I'd have to suggest that you consider building an effect or two first... Get your feet wet with something less dangerous.  
 
Every time I see this sort of question from people who *really* want to get started, it makes me think that the "single 6bm8" amp isn't such a bad idea...
