Speaker choices for Twin Reverb Anyone have any comments on speaker choices for use with a Twin reverb? I recently tried my twin through a friends 4x10 cab and it sounded great. The speakers in my amp are the original Fender Special Design, which I think aren't too great. They seem to crap out when playing, and I want to be able to crank it without having the speakers give out. I'm looking for a speaker that has more mids and not as much highs as these do. Maybe a more Marshally sound? Any suggestions? Thanks! Ben |

Have you tried strolling the WeberVST catalog? |

I once had a silverface twin and when the original speakers blew I got ahold of some Celestion 75 watters. Really took off a lot of the "bite" of the amp, brought back some warmth. It was still too loud and shrill, but it helped a lot. |

Hey Ben, I have a pair of Celestion G12 70 in my twin, Plenty of mids and a good overdrive tones. I'm going to switch to something more "vintage sounding". I would sell them to you if your interested. Email me if you want jcselec@juno.com Later, JCS |

I have 2 mojo v30 in mine. I really like 'em. Sweet sounding. And they only cost about $50 each. BTW they sound nothing like the Celestion V30. Not bad though. jc |

Those Mojo V30s sound neither Celestion nor Jensen. They sound like a decent Oxford. |
