Opinions on G1270 These are celestion G12 modern lead 70watt speakers. A pair came in a SFTR I bought last year. They sound good to me, just want some input.As I am in the middle of recaping and blackfacing the amp I'm thinking about speakers. Thanks JCS |

I've got a pair in a 2X12 Laney cab--I don't mind them. With my Bassman they start to break up about four not in a bad way for me. I've read alot of knocks about them--but I'm pretty happy. I don't know if I would buy them again just to try something else if they died. A buddy of mine that plays out with a BLKface Twin alot runs a pair of the 100W Celestions and loves them. As I recall reading they don't color the tone as much as other Celestions. fwiw bw |
