check the (computer-style) AC cord...wiggle it...see if HUM goes away.

Thanks.I sent it off to a tech here in Maryland.Better off in his hands then mine.I'd probably blow it up.

Does it hum with the reverb turned all the way down? The reverb circuit in these amps is extremely noisy.

Most Marshall's are muddy when cranked unless you turn the bass down to 2 or less.

Yes it hums,but not as much.Your right about turning down the bass but,I have owned a few Marshalls and none of em sounded like this one.Thats ok,soon it will be a thing of the past.Thanks.
