Re: It Arrived!
Steve, I made a bias "probe" actually more of a box - the tube sits outside away from the amp because I had problems on certain amps with little tube clearance (AC100) and a few others. Main point is I used seom 4mm banana sockets on the box to hook up my meter. One pair is in series with the cathode (I use the precision shunt in my meter instead of a resistor in the box) and the other set gives me access to the plate and screen pins. By using the cathode pin and one of the other sockets I can figure out plate and screen voltage without opening the amp, with all the tubes installed. Helps a lot.

socket for B+ measurements
Steve and all;
Fair radio sales http://www.fairradio.com/ has nos sockets that will do the trick.
The only downside is the minimum order is $20 and the sockets are $2 or $3, Can't remember exactly. They also have them for 9 & 7 pins too. The only danger here is touching the tabs that allow for measuring each pin - direct access can be unpleasant.

Re: I need a Bias Probe other than SwAmp
Charles sends a table containing bias levels and a good set of instructions with his probes. If you don,t have one check his web site and you can get it there.
