Marshall - JTM45? Hello all. Could someone point me to a schematic of a JTM45? Is this the same as the plexi 1959 schem? thanks Craig |

Someone just posted this link recently either here or in the Usenet. Either was, what a great little convenient resource: http://kickme.to/schematics/ And to quickly answer the question, no, a JTM 45 used 6L6 tubes, a solid state rectifier and was actually closer to a Bassman than a Plexi. Should be easy to go from one circuit to the other, barring the SS vS Tube rectifier -- that is, you can use a SS replacement for the tube, but the converse would require punching the chassis, etc. Gil PS: For what it's worth, I love the sound of the JTM45 reissue Marshalls, never had a chance to play an original one though. |

I've always seen a GZ34 in early JTM45s. hell, even the JTM45 replacement PTs come with a 5V tap I think. I could be wrong though. Corwin |

Umm, Gil, don't you mean the JTM 45 uses a tube rectifier? The 1959 uses SS. -Dave M. | |

Right You Are, Dave! :) Re: Marshall - JTM45? Sure, the JTM 45 is the one with the tube rectifier. Gil |
