| John Stokes | Re: celestion blue vs. weber P12B I believe there was such a comparison test in a recent GP magazine. As I recall, the genuine Celestion Blue was far and away the winner in the shootout. If you wanna play, you gotta pay. |

I believe the celestion blue beat the weber by a '4.5 to 5' rating score that took into account many comparing factors. I wish I could afford both to compare! I have a Weber P12B on order and am looking forward to trying it out. dave |

| Ricky | yeah, I read that article, I just wanted to know if anyone who has heard the two thought that the .5 was worth the 100 bucks or so. -Ricky |

Re: Weber now makes two P12B's Weber now makes a verion of the P12B that is louder and brighter and designed to be more like the Celestion RI (which apparently is louder and brighter than an original). It's rated at 15 watts like the Celestion (the regular Weber P12B is 30 watts). To get the brighter version you have to request it on your order to Weber. -Y. P.S. I haven't tried either and am just mentioning it as a PSA, I do however run an original Silver Bulldog in my '60 Deluxe and couldn't imagine a better tone. |
