Hey, that doesn't sound like much a deal after all. I wonder how a 2x12 cab would sound with one each Celestion Blue for highs & mid and a P12N handling the lows- sounds good on paper.-Joe

absolutely!...this amp is just asking to be pushed into that Marshall-like, OD!...so my favorite (And its killer), is a 4x12 loaded W / Emminence "BR-12's"...turn the volume of guitar down and just listen to that sweet high-end, turn it up and provides PLENTY of bottom end, which personally, (imho) I can't see a single 12 in. speaker allowing!...gonna' get reemed, but that's my take...btw... can't complain about this amp runnin'thru a pair of Celestion VIN. 30's either!...easier to schlepp to gigs! :-)

I just built a 5E3 clone. I run it at 6 or higher. I am using a Weber P12R and the thing smokes. I don't know why it would be out, though you do get "early breakup." I have a 4 X P10Q cab (apples and oranges, I know), and I feel those Q's are a bit too top endy. My 2 X C12N cab is very creamy. I like it, but it doesn't slice so much as roar, so I imagin one P12N would be similar but with more compression.

RJ	Thanks for all the response. You ever heard of a P-12-NQ? I just got an e-mail from Ron Ott saying this would be his choice. I've never heard of it.

Bruce	I'm not sure, but I think Ted said that was a P12N with a Q cone. He reads AMPAGE enough that maybe he'll see this tell us. Bruce

RJ	I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a P-12-Q from Mike Clark. I wanted to stay true to vintage tweed tone. No question that the Celestion Blue is the one to beat, but I was afraid that the speaker's own voicing would be too far removed from the Jensen tone that I was after. Thanks again for all the input.
