Re: How does tremolo work? It's not similar. I tried to describe the Kalamazoo circuit in detail in my 10/1 2:58 post, but I was probably just confusing. Sounds like from what you're saying, I could add a 1M pot at the grid feed for the tremolo tube to control the amount of input to the grid? I guess I could try it and see what happens. Steve |

Steve I think most of the Kalamzoo amps I've seen have a schematic glued into the bottom. Did yours? Bruce |

Yes. Mine was stapled (thank goodness). I've removed it for reference and can scan it. In an earlier post I tried to describe the tremolo circuit verbally, but I'm sure it's better to see it in the context of the rest of the circuit. Looking at the schematic doesn't help me, since the circuit is different from every other one I've looked at, and I don't understand how the LFO works. If someone could look at the schem and suggest how to control the depth/intensity I'd appreciate it! Thanks! Steve | |

Have a scanned schematic I have the schematic of the Kalamazoo scanned and can email, if anyone would like to look at it. Thanks, Steve |

My question is what do I save a scanned schematic as? I have some crate stuff to scan, and don't know what to save them as. |

Re: How does tremolo work? FYI, I put a scan of a section from Jack Darr's "Electric Guitar Amplifier Handbook" on the tech info pages at http://www.aikenamps.com which describes in detail how tremolo circuits work. Randall Aiken |
