spitfire type clone using 6BM8 Hi ampagers' I'm thinking of building an amp similar to the matchless spitfire but using a couple of 6BM8 tubes using the triode sections as the PI. I would appreciate any input, particularly with regard to the resitor values in the PI and for the cathode bias resistor and bypass cap. any ideas guys? cheers Shane Dolman. |

Shane; Check out the schematic link here http:/members.aol.com/fyrebottle Look for the guild thunder1 schematic, it's rudely drawn but it's something to look at. Marc |

Marc: That amp looks way cool! I was just thinking that for the standoffs you could use 3/8" or 1/4" pipe and run the wiring inside the pipe... So what brand EF86 are you using? Any problems with microphonics? --Thanks! Steve Ahola |
