Re: Bob's octave fun
The box works without a fuzz box, but to me that's the best part - to drive it with my own distortion box.

Most octave boxes have crappy distortion on their own.

I would imagine that if you crank up the gain - it will distort a LOT..

Hey Doug, Yeah it distorts pretty cool on its own, but also sounds great with fuzzes, SD1, etc before or after it.
Last night I got a great 'AMPmeltindown" sound by runningall of these at once:
Boss SD1[tone on 8 oclock] into
FF clone into
octaver gain up pretty high into
FF reissue [modded] set to 'sputter' -that gave the biggest meltdown factor into
Aron Nelson ROCKET set pretty trebly. into
amp
Of course it had a lot of noise, but I covered it up by playing nonstop!
It was a cool 'sperience

OK, you win the award for coolest setup with the Octavia! :-)

Boy does that bring back memories - I am old enough to have done that type of stuff with the original EH stuff!!

LPB-1 ->LPB-1->MXR Dist+-> etc...

Talk about noise!!! :-)

Sheesh... You guys and your pedalmania!;)

I plugged my 2 shakas together one time and that was about all the noise I could handle. I've never really gotten that many good sounds plugging multiple distortion boxes together.

On the other hand, I've gone hog wild plugging choruses, flangers, delays, cry baby, et. al. together and had some decent "really processed-sounding" results.;)

Kind of got tired of that stuff but it's still useful for some things.

You need to download the massive archive unfortunately to get the schematic.
