Greg Resistors
Would using a 2% tolerance affect the sound quality of my effect since the original uses 5% for its resistors?

Thanks

The tolerance describes the how much the real resistor value might deviate from the value printed on the body. So a resistor marked 100ohm 2% should be somewhere between 98ohm (-2%) and 102 ohm (+2%), while a 5% should be in the 95 - 105 intervall.

Now for the effect on the sound, I'm too new to this to actually have any experience, but my guess is in real life it won't have any effect at all.

Theoretically i guess there could be changes in sound from a new actual resistance if the circuit is axtremely ticklish about the resistor value, or from a resistor made from another material - metal vs. carbon, where metal is concidered quieter/less hiss.
