Why no chatroom for fx builders but one for amp makers?!

Johnathan	Why no chatroom for fx builders but one for amp makers?! Aron,     have you ever thought about having a chatroom for fx builders?!     i know ampage has one for guitar amps but not for fx builders such as ourselves...i would MUCH suggest having one..just something that would help me out and i'm sure others out as well...     just a thought...     thanx     Johnathan

aron	Well,     Here's one reason:     When we respond in a forum, the answers are there for everyone to see and respond to. Not only that, you can take your time responding.     A chat room while nice - is more "for the moment" and most chat rooms I have been in eventually degrade to some other form....     It's pretty easy to setup one.     I never asked tboy for it.     Aron

BWilliamson	Ampage use to have one--I remember the amp guys would go in there when the other was too full. Since nobody used it.     bw

We can all chat on IRC, if real-time chatting is what you're interested in. It's a simple matter to post up on this forum something announcing a chat on Undernet in #stompbox (or whatever) and for everyone to meet there on a certain night. I'd like to chat in real time with some of the guys like Doug, Aron, RG, and some of the other guys.   I am an op on #guitar on Undernet. I am sure no one would mind us getting on over there and chatting about DIY stompboxes, it could pique interest among some of the other guys.   Andy Bradbury (droid) builds tube amps, and I'm sure he could add to the discussion, as many of the other guys can. If anyone gets disruptive (not us DIY guys), we have the means to take care of it quickly.   #guitar is a well-maintained channel, and there are a lot of great guys, especially the ops.   I invite anyone there. I drop in usually on weeknights, after 8 p.m. I invite anyone there. My nick is Cajun.
