surface mount resistors?
I just got my first big order in from Mouser yesterday and from either a mistake on their end or on my end (haven't gone thru the records yet) I ended up with a whole bunch of surface mount resistors instead of the normal resistors I've been buying at Radio Shack. I've got a couple hundred of these things now and don't really know how to get them onto a PC board. Could anyone clue me in on how to work with these things? Thanks!

I use surface mount resistors and caps. for all of the devices I have built recently. The first thing you really need is the tools, a microscope makes a world of difference. I usually use a piece of circuitboard, glue the parts down to the board and then use small wire to connect the componets. I run the wires to pots and in and out jacks using terminal post so that there is no stress on the connection to the surface mount parts. I also butt the componets end to end for connections. I have a picture posted, using both surface mount and standard componets, check it out.

Wendall,

Call them and you can return them. I have done so in the past. I just tell them I made a mistake.
