meter is on sale! The meter that I use and like is on sale for $69.95. Not only that but if you switch to Sprint you get $15 off. If AT&T calls you to switch back, you may get even more money! Here is the meter. It is very good. http://www.radioshack.com/ProductCatalog/ProductDetail/Index/1,2098,,00.html?SKUString1=22&SKUString2=174 |

I picked one of these up a few weeks ago on sale. IT is VERY good and easy to use for an electronics idiot like myself. I'm not a huge Radio Shack fan, but I recommend this meter whole heartedly. No more guessing on transitor pinouts. |

I studied a lot of meters before I saw this one. I never regretted buying it. You know you can get coverage for 5 years for a cheap price. I can't remember how much but it was cheap. |

The only criticism I have of the unit is that you have to take the transistor gain readings with a grain of salt - but they tell you that in the manual. And the readings are good enough to tell you whether a transistor is leaky. |
