| SGS | Wah Wah pedal problems. . . I have a Snarling Dogs Whine-O wah wah pedal and the problem is that sometimes when I hit the pedal button down it works but make s the tone really quiet, other times it works like normal. Sometimes to get it to work i have to hit the button with my finger. . . Can anybody help? |

this is not an answer just more question? i have the same thing happen with dunlop wahs. old ones and brand new ones it doesn't matter. some times when you switch them the level drops to almost nothing. and if you stomp on them ,i mean STOMP! on them they click back up to full volume? |

If you look at the switch, maybe it's that "spider" looking arrow-copy DPDT that does this exact same thing once it develops problems. Some are ok, some develop problems later, so have them right away. Replace the switch with a Carling DPDT. The biggest problem.... where do you get them? |

Aaron, could you explain which are the "bad" DPDT switches? I have problem with my Dunlop Jimi Hendrix wah too, so I'm going to replace the switch. Thanks! Willy |

They are not _all_ bad, although some of my friends will tell you they are. When you look at the bottom, the 6 lugs come from the center and "spider" out, like an X but with 6 legs. It's the MCM arrow copy thing. Lots of pedals use them. |

I have the same SD wah you have and it had the "spider" switch Aron is talking about. Mine also started to do this after about 6 months. I tried changing heights on the switch and that fixed it for a short time, but it came back. So just the other day I just decided to replace the switch and it works fine now. |
