Mutron III I just made a couple of changes to my Deluxe Memory Man that Aron suggested. I'm not into tinkering with this stuff, but it sounds sweeter & love the true bypass. I have an old Mutron III (the one that's plugged into the wall for power). Can anyone tell me how to install a true bypass on this or where to look to this info? Are there parts that need replacing after all these years while I have the beast open? |

Look at this link http://www.compassnet.com/cjlandry/schems/schemsdir.html. There you will find the Mutron III schematic. As far as True Bypass, the existing switch switches between the output of the first gain stage and the FX out at the filter stage. One set of poles on the DPDT switch should connect to the input jack and the other set of poles should connect to the output of the filter stage. I assume you know how to wire true bypass being that you have done it before. Good luck and let me know if I can help, CJ |

Thanks, I'll take a look & give it a shot. Truth is, I only did it to my wah & memory man, & they were reissues where people had detailed instructions for the specific pedal. the MutronIII vintage & a bit scary under the hood, but the payoff would make my attempt worth it. |

For simplicity sake and speed, I can draw something up and fax it to you if you's like? CJ |
