| R.G. | Auto-layout Hit "go" too soon. From a lot of experience, programs that do auto routing/layout are not worth messing with for effects circuits. The placement and layout you get is essentially useless. |

Re: layout Well I have been over your layout for the Mini-Tubes 2 about 3 times now and Can't fault it yet, If your willing I'd like to get the Tracks layout and I'll do the final test of producing it, and then we can go from there, I think this is going to interesting I am building mine into a full preamp with speaker sim and DI output, should improve the Guitar sound at church a Bit, Regards Blair |

More options Thanks for checking it. I will be posting several different power supply options for getting +30 to +36 power for the pedal. All of them fit in the space for the original converter. The original converter needs the substitution of a 7662 for the second (bottom-most) LT1044A. About half of LT1044A's will not work there due to voltage limitations. The 7662 will, and fits the same place. However, there is an even cheaper, simpler solution. A common 555 timer with a multiplier cascade after it does a fine job of making +32V, and fits neatly in the same space. Also, you can run in AC at either 6Vac, 9VAC, or 12VAC and power a multiplier at 60Hz. All you do to select the right voltage is change which parts to leave out of the multiplier cascade. I'll have converter sections for all of these in the near future. You mention "producing it" and going from there - what did you have in mind? |

By Producing it I meant make a PCB and build one, I think this would make an ideal Preamp for a church type simple PA where the Guitarist has no Amp, (like at my Church) Cheers Blair |
