Re: Ordering Op Amps That is a very good idea. One of the biggest obstacles when I started was figuring out what to order, such as caps, pots, jacks, etc. Another good thing to list would be trim pots, I am sure there are several out there, but a lot of projects are using trim pots and having the right part number at hand would be very useful. |

| steve | i have been reading alot of your info and just got some parts and a free lazer printer and i am now ready to start my first project. one of the hardest things up till now is ordering the right parts. i'm sure getting my first project to work will be easier " yeah right " but u guys r great even if i don't get into making effects hot and heavy i see the knowlegable ones do so much and don't mind sharing and on and on wish me luck later |

This could even be sort of an ongoing thing - i.e. just start out with the basic most commonly used parts and Mouser numbers. As different people run across equivalent or better parts from different suppliers, they could let Aron know and he could add them to the list. Sort of a quick referral database for ordering parts. That way, it would be very useful not only to beginners but to more seasoned builders who hate having to look up catalog numbers every time they order - or who could benefit from someone else running across a good part from a supplier they don't typically use. |
