I haven't seen the article on the web you mentioned (please get back if you find it again!) but in the book Stompbox the designer of the RAT tells the story about how he mixed up the color codes of the resistors. |

The posted excerpt was from the Stompbox book. Jack Orman had a pile of info on the Rat at one pointé I think it may have been posted there. The gist of it was the stumbling onto the discovery of the LM308's wierd overtone characteristics when the gain was set high. |
