Sustain Punch Schematics!
Hi!
I'm looking for the schematic to the Creamy Dreamer, it sounds so fucking good. So I plan on building one. Oh, anyone got the SustainPunch mods for the Big Muff?

Bye.

Looked in one 2 weeks ago. A guy bought it on line and it didn't work! So he brought it to me to look at and it had a bad DC jack. It was a cheap one that had twisted around and was shorted out. No big deal - it happens. I'd of liked to have seen a better quality jack though. The pedal did look very nice. I really dug all the epoxy on the circuit board! If the problem would have been more then the jack I would have told the guy he was out of luck, and to send it back! So a used pedal bought on line has to go back to Canada or into the trash... give me a break! Why do all this for a clone? As for sounding good - it was O.K., but it didn't do it for me or the guy. The noise floor was a bit much. He sold it a few days later. No slam to para/jeff/you? He was looking for a different sound. Just one of the things you have to deal with buying unheard.

well someone said in the net that they Don't use quality parts, the epoxy hides all the posibilities to trace the board and post in the net.
but..
Maybe it has a more "beefy" output section
A "sweepable EQ".. imagine your bigmuff with a tone control capable to change from DARK BALLSIER RIFFS to Extreme rich of trebble Sounds..

The "triangle knob mods.."
i have a pic of jeff showing the green muff and the original..
he just ripped of the mods from the original board

the sweepable eq is a Very nicer mod for a bigmuff more than a mod is a big improvement
try to add some different caps values in the tone stack and connect it to a switch that allow you to change which capacitor is going to act as a filter
and then change the tone of your muff

in the guitar cookbook is a schematic of a semi-parametric eq..
try to view that one..

good luck!

Per,

I doubt if you'll find the schematic. The manufacturer is accutely aware of the possibility that someone could...oh ...say...take someone elses ideas and circuits and claim them as your own and then start selling them as a commercial product. So you got your epoxy covered board and no schematic available. For the price of that pedal, I'd expect to get THE HIGHEST quality parts though, like you'd get from zvex or fulltone.

For those of you who don't know, Paradiddle7 has really hit the big time. The Creamy Dreamer is now featured in the Musician's Friend catalog. And he has the distinction of selling the highest priced distortion unit in the catalog - $179 ($10 more than an Expandra II).

Don't mean to be negative, but didn't I hear a rumor that this design was frighteningly close to a circuit of a previous frequent contributor here at Ampage. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Anon I'm gonna remove the epoxy and return it!
You know, Musicians friend has screwed me by sending out opened and used product twice before. I'm going to buy a Creamy dreamer, heat and scrape off the epoxy, post the schematic to every board that will post it, and then return it. MF won't even bother to open the box, let alone realize it has been de-epoxied. So what is the agreed upon best method? Heat gun and dental pick?

Well maybe the Heat will damage some components..
but the heat gun or a similar tool is used to heat the glue of acoustical guitars in the neck section, to properly remove the neck

Stewart macdonald has one of those in his catalog
(not the heat gun) but it's a neddle like tool
with some Heat generator..

it'd be very "Legal" and "great" if you do that and post the traced schematic , cause you know,
it will be like JUSTICE

He ripped of the mods from the original pedal
added "extra signal to noise improved ratio"
An "sweepable EQ"
even the modded muffs has the epoxy..
what a crime..
it's like taking a "univibe" and name it with a crazy name and call it like "the original sound for jimy hendrix and david gilmour sound of that retro era with cool new sounds of it's own"
