Pignose as Preamp I use my little '70s Pignose as a pre-amp to drive my Fender amp, which gives me a very warm crunch. (I bypass the speaker with a dummy load), But...It has developed an intermittent buzzy-hum that almost sounds like radio interference. Any ideas? Also, I've never had the original power supply, does anyone know the specs of the power supply recommended for use in Australia? (240 volts AC) Craig |

Check the solder and the caps. Yes sometimes caps need to be changed in SS amps like in tube amps. My guess it that it has a bad solder connection Vibration and age can cause this. |

Thanks Gus, yeah, maybe it's time for a complete tweak 'n' overhaul. Anyone help with the power supply info? |
