homer ANY good parametric eq for GUITAR?
any pedal/rack parametric eq for guitar

I think the generally accepted answer to your question is the Boss GE-7. I haven't tried one so I can't say one way or the other but I do know they run about $75 new.  
 
Is there something specific you're looking for?

The boss pedal is not a parametric eq and they are not that quiet.IMHO, they suck.It seems most guys like them.In front of the amp is the best place for it IMHO.Just my 2cents.

A good Para.eq is the Ibanez PQ-401 ,its got 3 bands(low,mid,hi) and a control for the mid freq.  
 
An even better one is the TC electronic dual para.EQ,probably the best EQ IMO(that and the MXR 6-band EQ)  
 
The TC Electronic one maybe hard to find and a bit expensive too.I believe they are not made anymore(i maybe wrong though).

FOR A PRE DISTORTION EQ I'VE TRIED A FURMAN PQ-4 W/EXCELLENT RESULTS.FOR POST DISTORTION ALESIS HAS A GOOD ONE.ALSO ART JUST CAME OUT WITH A DUAL TUBE PARAMETRIC EQ.***************************

Phil: I spotted ART's new tube one, too, but I'm not sure that you can adjust Q (bandwidth). So: not true parametric...?
