Anyone onboard know if the battery in the the LPB-2 is activated when the input is plugged in or when the on/off switch is in the on position?

You can easily tell by simply looking at the input jack. If it is stereo, then plugging in powers you up. If, the jack is mono, but the switch has one of the leads from the battery snap connected to it, then the switch powers you up.
