Just a note of thanks to R.G. Keen for great information regarding TS-9 to TS-808 mods. I performed the mods last night, including the op amp and resistors, and it took all of 15 minutes, and made a great difference in tone.  
 
Thanks again!  
 
BTW, how much difference would swapping out the caps make?

I agree, his "Technology...." article is awesome. I put polyester film caps in the place of all the non-polarized electros. It made the tone less compressed. Easy enough to try, the opamp was the hard part. mp
