Tuner Recommendations? I know -- not strictly an effect. But can anyone recommend one that can handle "other" keys? For example, tuning to Eb instead of E. |

I can't recommend a particular product off-hand, but any 'chromatic' tuner should do the job. A chromatic tuner will allow tuning of any note, rather than just the usual EADGBE for guitars. Chris |

Sabine makes a decent little tuner called the Zip-1000 which is chromatic. My store sells it for about 30 bucks out the door. You should be able to find it at any decent music store. |

One of my tuners is the chromatic cheapo KORG CA-20. DOes fine, has LCD and LED plus mic and manual modes. One thing to remember - the calibration is remembered - this can be a great feature or a confusing one if someone else adjusts the calibration! Aron |

Best cheap tuner available, IMHO, I even use it on my pedal board. These track better (less jumping around on the meter) than other cheap ones I've used. The biggest problem is good acoustic guitars --too many strong harmonics, so it takes awhile before it finds the fundamental.
Yeah, buddy, that'll get you the first couple of times you use it! I think the problem is the cal. button's where the power button ought to be. -Eric | ||

Yep, the Korg tuners are absolutely brilliant, I bought myself one for Christmas last year! If you want to spend a bit more money, the Boss TU12 is rather cool, but the ultimate has got to be the new(-ish) Boss pedal. The LED's do that strobe effect thing if you want. I must get one! |

I picked up an Intellitouch Tuner by Onboard Research a couple of months ago. This thing is great! It clips onto the head - you can tune any kind of instrument without going through electronics. Has a 7 octave range, and tunes to any note. You can use a standard 440hz reference, or teach it a different one. I got it from somewhere on the 'net for $50! |
