Re: Mods ahoy
I think the posts have dropped off- I'll recap:
All you have to do to see the general construction is take the battery cover/bottom plate off. There is a (common to all, I think) pc board with the buffering/switching and power supply and another board which the pots and actual circuit are on. The tremolo is a pretty straight forward(and good sounding) unit based on an optocoupler and a couple of op amps. The reverb, on the other hand is built like a computer with ultra tiny surface mount components and doesn't contain the usual chips. It has the ultra compact square chip with a jillion connectors(some sort of specific design chip? or everything in one depending on how you hook it up? I don't know. What I do know is that it would be extremely difficult and time consuming to trace.
Those tiny knobs are glued on to the pots, you risk irreparable harm if you just HAVE to see the bottom board. These pedals were NOT made to be serviced in any way!

I agree the Tremelo is nice sounding, and for only $35.00! Its as good sounding as my Voodoo labs, which cost $125.00! I like the dano for having the switch on top for waveform, the VL has a jumper inside ( I know the new ones have a top mounted pot for this and an added volume control, so they made good on this)
The down side to the dano is I'd never trust it underfoot! I've never seeb the inside, though, any hope of transplanting them to a Hammond box (with custom power supply of course, as you'd probally get in too deep trying both boards)
They were probally made to not be serviced since they are so inexpensive. For $20-50, who's gonna pay a repairman when they can just by another for the same price!

I think it would be feasable to mount the guts in a Hammond box. Dispense with the jacks/buffer/switching/power supply board and mount the effect board in with whatever buffer it wants to see, true bypass and you got a great DURABLE tremolo for less than a boutique OR a Boss!
