Morley Vol. Wah I have an old Morley vol wah pedal that,s all chrome and uses 110 instead of a battery. This pedal has a good wah effect but it seems to rob some of the volume when not in the wah mode or switch position. Is there any way to correct this or totally by-pass the vol. and just have wah? thanks in advance. Mike O |

| peter | Yes, there is. The volume circuit is a simple voltage divider with a 68k resistor (as far as I recollect) and a photoresistor. It is not the same photoresistor as for the wah, they are separate. So if you just disconnect that stuff and send the signal right through you're in business. Incidentally the power supply caps in this thing have barely adequate voltage ratings and size, you may want to make some improvements while you're in there! |

The only 68k resister that I found was going across the instrument jack, is that the one? Should I disconnect it, or by-pass it? Also which caps are for the power supply and what do I replace them with? I'm Ok at wiring pu's, but this is a little more of a challenge for me. But I'll need all the help I can get. Thanks, Mike O |

| peter | If I remember rightly, what you need to do is bypass the 68k resistor with a wire, and disconnect the photocell.... try to trace the circuit for the 'volume' pedal, it should be just those 2 parts (if it matches mine, that is!) Regarding the power supply, if it doesn;t hum you might not want to bother... but if you do want to do it, look for (I think) 3 electrolytic caps that are about 50 uF and 50 volts... they will be the biggest components in the circuit board. Replace them with about twice the value, and twice the voltage rating, being careful to install the new ones with the CORRECT POLARITY! feel free to ask questions! peter |
