6G15 Brown '63 Fender Reverb Unit This thing sounds better than I ever imagined. What is the extra 1/4" jack for on the bottom of the chassis? NC |

footswitch? bw |

I don't think so. I would expect that a footswitch would be an RCA plug and on the back of the chassis, not 1/4" and underneath like an extension speaker input. NC |

I just went and checked my settings to see where I left off last time and they are set at 4 1/2, 5, and 4. I guess it depends on the guitar and amp you use it with. What sort of rig are you running. I was playing it through a '58 Super with a '73 SG. My old brown Astron caps are bubbling so I assume that the tone may change when I have it recapped which would change my desired settings. So the jack is for a footswitch! Not easy to get to. NC |

reverb and '66 Bassman or '60 tweed Deluxe--all serviced/capped within a few years to recently.'80s tele, '62 USA Strat RI, Electra V clone. the reverb was just recapped--before that i had to take tone up to max for clarity and to avoid mud. the tone seems to be the only parameter i need to adjust slightly when changing guitars (pinch more treble for HB pu's).... bill p.s. i used to play a premier reverb through a tweed princeton: great sound! you could add tube gain, warmth, OD before hitting the amp. |
