LED power?

Greg LED power?
I'm wanting to build a pedal board with DPDT switches to true bypass the effects in and out,I plan on using a power supply like voodoolabs since I have a few boss pedals,I was also planning on putting LED's for status indicators. My question is how would I power the LED's from one power source since not wanting to use 9 volt batteries on each LED. I plan on using probably 7-8 pedals. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Use the AC adaptor you plan to use to power the FX with.

I'm going to put the DPDT switches and LED's on the board itself not the effects. So I can interchange the effects in and out of the board. The power supply will only power 8 effects, I don't want to tie up that power on LED's.If I could use just one adapter to power all LED's it would be the way to go.Is it possible?

Any power supply that will adequately supply
power for 8 effects should handle the extra
few milliamperes that the L.E.D.'s would
require.
You did not state the ampacity of your
power supply. The popular Voodoolab and
the Juicebox are both in excess of 1000 milliamps
If your supply is one of the above you will
definately have sufficient current for your
project.
If you could give us more details it would
be easier to advise you.

I dont know if this is what you are looking for, but maybe check out Jack Ormans site on the true bypass with LED indicator schematic www.muzique.com/AMZ

Hello,
i don't know, how your circuit looks like, but connecting the anodes together and switching them to the ground through a resistor should work. If you have something drawn, let me have a look at it, then i could tell.

PS: one led takes about 20 mA, so i'd recommend a wall transformer too, beceause it would suck your 9V batteries in few minutes (say one hour)

Yes ED thats close to what I had in mine,at www.muzique.com/amz/dpdt.gif top of page. Picture 8 of those hard wired in series with in/out for each one with LED's to indicate whether or not that particular effect is inline. Now I know this has been done, but I,ve been in the metalworking business for a long time and would like to build my own.My question is(and I may be complicating a simple problem,I don't know)most boxes be it channel switching or bypassing that uses LED's require a battery.Since I'm wanting to wire 8 units together obviously I don't want to use 8 batteries or 8 power supply outlets, so my question is can I use maybe 1 powersupply out let to power all 8 LED's? THANKS!
