Watkin's Copicat Echo (valve model) ?
Came across the above at a garage sale here in Sydney and would really love to find a circuit diagram for it . Would anyone have a lead , please ?
3 x valves : 12au7 , 7025 , 6br8a . I'll have to look up these last two . Not familiar to me .
TIA , Greg .

Greg,

Pack it up and ship it to me, I'll draw you out a schematic and ship it right back ;-)

But seriously, if there's a net source for this scheme, I can't find it, but I do know about those last two tubes:

7025: just a fancy 12AX7

6BR8: triode/pentode, similar to 6BM8 but different.

... hope I was some help as I kill time waiting for quiting time...

That'd be great Whit , but you didn't leave an address : >)

Seriously too , thanks for the info on the tubes . I couldn't find a scheme on the web either so I was hoping someone hereabouts ( maybe a fellow-lurker ) might have one .
Will keep looking and would love to be able to give something back to Ampage if I find one elsewhere .
Anyone else interested in this model tape echo ?

Greg,

Just send it to Canada, it's a small place, I'll eventually get it ;-)

You're welcome on the tube info and good luck in the scheme search. And I thought I was the coolest guy on the block with my rebuilt Roland Space Echo, but not anymore!

I know someone who's got the schematic for the valve model WEM copycat. I just need to persuade him to let me copy it. I'll see what I can do.

He's got quite a lot of them, including a cream and blue tolex example. Makes me seeth, as he won't sell any of them.

Email me and remind me if I haven't found anything in a week or so.

Thankyou for the offer Liam and goodluck talking him 'round .

The cream and blue one is the model I'm working on . As far as i've been able to tell this was the first and only tube model built . Does that sound right ?
I'll be in touch , thanks again Liam .

No, they did a black version of that as well, which is a bit more common over here.

Has your one got the erase head, or the magnet in the tensioner. I thought that was such a cute idea.
