Re: Wah is life so hard!
I haven't tried anything larger than the 4.7uf. R.G. says in his "Technology.." article that you can do it, but there is only a small difference in sound(if any). If you like the sounds you are getting stick with it. I've been working on my pedal with some unbelievable results also. Mark

It doesn't make a huge difference, maybe slightly more bass response. Geoffrey Teese uses a 10µF on his RMC1 board.

Im using a Ten uf in mine. It does seem to have more bass. I like that ALOT. I wonder though, why the actual pedal seems to have less degree of movement than my new Jim dunlop? In other words, it seems to not have a lot of travel. Im not talking about the pot..the pedal itself.??My other thomas organ is the same way.

You can monkey with the pads at the front and rear of the pedal for more travel. I recently put two small adhesive pads from RS in place of the front ones on my wha. They are a little hard to compress, but they are doing the job. Mark

Thanks , I will try that. By the way I recently purchased a Snarling Dogs Whino Wah and was amazed!
This thing sounds incredible. It has a twin inductor feature that is very cool. ANd anything that has a "shaft" preset is cool with me LOL
