math	i need metal distortion fx box schematics I need schematics to make a distortion that sounds like mettalica and have a good palm muting sound. Anybody have any url or can send me a shematic by e-mail i would be please.     please if anybody have an effect schematics for metallica style of sound. clean metal sound.     tanx

Steve Dallman	Try Jack Orman's Mini-tubes preamp. I just built it and I think it's there. You need to run the 36volts on it though.

Jim	Make a high gain distortion of your chosing. Then put a graphic-eq stompbox after it so that you can tweak the sound. Usually metal sounds are a frequency curve with a big wide dip in the middle. lots of low and highs with cut mids.     J2k

Rebel420	go on the blueguitar site http://www.firebottle.com/blueguitar and build the Soldano Preamp schematic... since soldanos are what a LOT of the metalheads use/used
