Valvetone 810- Switching pop Anybody familiar with the internals of this Vox 810 pedal? I just plugged mine in last night, and I get a loud pop through the amp when hitting the footswitch, either direction. (otherwise, functions normally.) I don't recall it doing this when it was new. Hmmmm! Could this be the reason they were blowing them out so cheaply last year?? Thanks, Doc |

mine did that even when brand new. Apparently it's one of the prices of true bypass. I've been told that running a 1M resistor from the input/output jack to ground will cure this, but I havent done so yet. Lazy. |

I once put a DPDT switch in an old MXR Phaser and it would pop the first time I switched it in/out but not again as long as I was plugged in. Never did figure that one out and sold it before I bothered the 1 meg resistor fix. My Valvetone also popped but I sold it also (though not because of the popping.) |
