jfet booster clipping

jfet booster clipping Hi guys, I built the basic jfet booster from AMZ but its clipping, even with the 22 uF cap removed it clips. I have it biased at 4.5 volts[9v. pwr], and I'm using NTE 458. Any help is appreciated. Jered |

My first thought is- How strong a signal are you inputting? 2nd. thought- raise the value of the source resistor to about 2.2k to 3.3k, then re-bias. This will lower the gain, should help. Ed R. |
