Where to find data sheets
Hi

I've been looking for data sheets of Matsushita delay chips like MN3007 etc. but couldn't find those anywhere.

Any suggestions ?

I'm sure you've already checked their website, but try again using a product -selection tree if they offer one. Sometimes the site search is pretty dumb.

Next step would be to try and find a distributor with a friendly (preferably female) inside sales person willing to give you the tme of day (and fax/email the datasheet). Try for a local sales office or a catalog sales place like Newark or Allied/Avnet. There has been a lot of consolidation, so company names may have changed, or you may not be in the US - good luck.

PS
Are these parts still in production?

If not, it's pretty much a crapshoot as to where you'll find 'em.

Let's hope for a kind archivist.

Re: Where to find data sheets
The Panasonic semiconductor website has the spec sheets for most of their BBD chips available for download in .pdf form. Look under "catalog" then under "BBD's for audio applications". It takes a bit of maneuvering around to get there.

This may be a bad sign... the site at http://www.mec.panasonic.co.jp/e-index.html doesn't have the datasheets for the delay chips any more. Searches for MN3 or BBD do not turn up any hits. Hopefully its just a web site problem, but the datasheets were there a few weeks ago. At least they don't seem to be on the discontinued list.

I went there too and noticed the same thing. So, we know it's not browser problems.

What should be mentioned, and is alluded to in the URL Jack notes is that you have to go to the JAPANESE site to get the info, not the North American site. The "co.jp" in the URL identifies this.

Right, and I know that is the correct url because I saved it from a few weeks ago intending to add it to my web site with the next update. If you call up the BBD page it looks like it may only be a file problem, and hopefully they will get it fixed soon.
