4PDT Switches Footswitches??? I am working on a switching concept where I need 3PDT for audio and the 4th pole for an LED. Has anyone seen a 4PDT footswitch on the market? I know Fulltone distributes a 3PDT, but I don't recall seeing a source for 4PDT. I have seen 4PDT relays, but the footswitch is simpler. |

Fujisoku (!?) makes a 4PDT push-push switch that works like the 3PDT's that Fulltone used to use and stopped using because of reliability problems. It's a lighter duty device than the Carlings and other similar ones. They're expensive (maybe $20 or so), rare, non-stock items for distributors and possibly unavailable except by luck. That's the only one I know of. Are you sure you can't use a 3PDT and use the Millenium Bypass version 1 or 2 on one pole to get the status indicator? Getting to needing over 3 poles pushes you into relay or CMOS territory very quickly. The Danelectro pedals use the CD4053 for their "bypass", and it's a 3PDT CMOS switch. You can get clickless operation very easily that way. Relays are, of course, an option, and probably cheaper than a 4PDT stomp switch, even if it's a bit more complicated. |

RG, not quite true. I heard that Fulltone's out of the first production run switches and revamped it with a Bakalite body and metal pushrod because they weren't happy with the failure rate of that first batch. I see that stewMac is showing it for their 2000 catalog. Billy |

For what it's worth, I ordered a few of the 3pdt switches from mike fuller maybe 6-8 months ago and have had trouble with them. Just had to replace one last week. I find the carling hard to beat. jason |
