GFR	Re: Tube Experts: Analysis Requested (R.G. et. al.) That's the Millman book I was talking about!     On the Tube Driver, the preceding tube stage has a 68K plate resistor. Isn't it a too high output impedance source for a stage that has a low input impedance like a forward biased diode?

This Circuit's Great! If you've been following this thread, you know that I happened to mention this circuit to a couple of "old timers" up at work yesterday. Today one of them brought in about 10 12A~7s of different varieties to try.     I spent the afternoon going through the tubes and all I can tell you is: when you get the right tube in there, you'll know it. The circuit kicks!     (BTW, thanks, tboy, for the "behind the scenes" magic on the picture that started this thread.)

Aron	Yep, that's what I found out with an old Mullard. The Seimens and Phillips sounded good too.     Aron
