Re: Switching, switch board.
I have some ideas for elaborating this into a full cross-point switch that could do oreder switching, but I bet you do too. Complex only because of its redundancy. Expensive and probably inconveniently large, too.

Yep.

Hey - complex, expensive, redundantly large... that's almost perfect!! *<8-)

This would be near the top of the online project list for me. This is one thing that I have not yet found anywhere on the net.

Just a suggestion, but it might be more trouble than its worth.... If you can find a schematic for one of the ibanez rack effects, such as the UE 400, and can Isolate the switching part of the circut, you could probally clone and modify it to suit your needs. I had one and it was VERY quiet with no bleed thru. Looking at the circut board, it basically had a copy of their "pedal effects"circut right on the board (TS-9, CS-9, PH-9 and CP-9). You could actually picki out the individual circut if you are familliar with how they look. On the rack face, there was a INSTA PATCH switch for each effect for choosing order, I.E. comp set at 1, Dist set at 2, etc. you would then turn on the effects you wanted on the footswitch ahead of time and they would all turn on when you hit the Master switch on the pedal.
Probally too involved, but I loved the rack and wish I could have this capability with my current board.

I found some pedals that might be able to do it (you'd have to buy them of course):

- Carl Martin "Combinator". Still no info online at there site but it is said to be avaible. [www.carlmartin.com]
- RFX "RP93S Patchwork" [www.rolls.com/rp93s.html]

They are not perfect...but they come close...

Of course I hope we can come up with a cheap, good working alternative... that we can build our selves
