Ibanez TS-9 Mod By Analog Mike

Daver	Ibanez TS-9 Mod By Analog Mike Has anyone heard one of these pedals or own one? I'm considering having mine modded with his "brown" option. I'd like some input as to the tone and customer service, etc.   Daver

Dave,   I got one of his mods before i got into doing my own effects/mods and was very pleased with the results, (I got the standard 808 mod, not thr BROWN).Your paying for the labor, as the mods are easy to do and are actually cheap if you did them yourself, but if you don't know much about that sort of thing, having him do it is your best bet. Top notch work and first rate service, he's a pleasure to deal with.

Daver	JR,   Thanks for the input. I've already changed the op-amp to the preferred 4558 type with socket. It did help. If I knew what he was doing to the output section or had a schematic of the mod I could do it myself. How does your modded TS-9 compare to the stock version?   Daver

Daver-     Analog Mike's "brown" sound mod on a TS-9 is no more than swapping in a few carbon composition resistors in place of the metal films that are already in there. (In strategic undisclosed positions of course     IMHO this mod has very little effect on the overall tone of this beast.     I have a Analog Mike modded TS-9 and a potato bug TS-5 that I modded myself. The only difference being that I didn't mod the TS-5 with the different resistors. To my ears these beasts sound the same.     Happy Modding,   Rob W.
